Give
each student a blank white sheet of paper. Instruct your students
to cover over the entire piece of paper with different color crayons.
Tell them to color as dark as they can. Then mix black tempera
paint with a small amount of dishwashing liquid. Paint over top
of the crayon so that your paper now becomes dark black. Let dry
overnight. Finally take toothpicks and let your students scratch
off the black paint into different pictures and designs. The crayon
underneath should now show through. It makes a really neat image!
