Focus
your students on the value of gratitude during the month of November.
Oftentimes, we feel gratitude when we are giving to others as
well as receiving kind acts of service. Talk to your students
about recognizing the efforts of others especially during the
month of November. Each time they feel a classmate has done something
nice for them, have them write it down on a pre-cut heart. Some
examples may include: "I want to thank Shawn for sharing
his markers with me today." Or "I want to thank Katie
for helping me with some math problems today." Show the kids
how much fun it can be to help others in the classroom and in
their school. Be sure that you as their teacher notice those special
moments as well!
