First,
put a piece of white paper inside an empty shoebox container.
Next dip a marble into black paint. Then drop the marble into
the shoebox. Roll it around by maneuvering the box with your hands.
Dip the marble in the paint again if needed. These make cute "spider
webs" for your festive classroom!
An additional activity you could do with your students is to have
them draw a spider with a picture of their head glued on as the
spider's head. Then instruct them to write a story about "My
Life as a Spider", talking about a spider's point of view.
Encourage them to give their writing a creative title such as:
"All Tangled Up and Nowhere to Go" or "My Web of
Friends".
