When
students do not have their homework done, they fill out an APZ
form to turn in, in place of their homework. The form allows them
one more day to get their homework done. The form goes into the
student's classroom file (which helps during parent/teacher conferences)
and when they turn in the late work, they can make no high than
a seventy percent on that work. If the assignment is not turned
in, they receive a zero.
The
form is copied in dayglow yellow paper so that it is easy to identify
in a stack of papers.
The form has: student's name, date due, date turned in, teacher's
name (if working in teams), assignment name and page number, reason
it was not turned in on time, and grade received.
