Fishing for your Thoughts!

Are you trying to find something to use up time while waiting for the bell, or even during transitions? "Fishing for your Thoughts" is one solution! Copy the questions listed below and cut into strips. Place the questions in a fish bowl. Pull one or two out and open up for discussion. If you wanted to take it a step further, students could write responses in a journal. Here are some sample questions to keep those minds moving!

- The funniest thing I ever saw was...

- If you were a parent today, what would you want to teach your children?

- If you could invent any kind of cookie, what ingredients would you put in?

- The smallest thing I own is...

- What playground equipment do you wish our school had?

- What is your favorite sport and why?

- If you could communicate with animals, what would they say?

- If I had $1.00, I would...

- The hardest thing about being a child is...

- The best thing about being a child is...

- What is your favorite family vacation?

- What are some ways to teach others to recycle?

- What would you do if you woke up one morning and found yourself invisible?
