Dot-to-Dot Creative Writing

I am always trying to find ways for my students to complete creative writing stories. I copy dot-to-dot activities and copy it to the top of a handwriting paper, ( the kind that has the plain top and the handwriting lines at the bottom.) My students then complete the picture (which reinforces letters or numbers, whichever the activity is), and colors it. They then will write a story about the picture. They really love this idea. It gets them involved in looking at the picture and promotes creative ideas for writing.
